Course Description
This course explores the science and clinical application of dental materials, and its integration into modern restorative dentistry
Adhesive dentistry plays a critical role in modern restorative procedures, enabling clinicians to achieve superior aesthetics, function, and durability in both direct and indirect restorations. This comprehensive, evidence-based course will explore the fundamental principles and advanced applications of dental adhesive restorations, integrating scientific literature, UCSF teaching methodologies, and real-world clinical scenarios.
Through a combination of lecture-based learning and high-quality clinical video demonstrations, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the materials, armamentarium, and techniques necessary to consistently achieve predictable results in composite restorations. We will address the challenges of obtaining proper contacts, minimizing post-operative sensitivity, and optimizing restoration form and aesthetics.

Dr. Ram Vaderhobli
Dr. Ram Vaderhobli, DDS, MS, is Professor of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences at UCSF. He holds a Master’s in Dental Biomaterials from Alfred University and has spent his career researching and teaching on dental materials, wear studies, and CAD/CAM dentistry, earning multiple faculty teaching awards along the way.
