SUMMARY:CE Dinner Meeting: Applying Advance Adhesion Knowledge to Achieve H
ighly Esthetic and Predictable Direct Anterior and Posterior Composites Re
 storations\, including rehabilitations
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Jose-Luis Ruiz returns to Marin County Dental Society!\n\nS
pace is limited. Please RSVP by 4/14 to secure your spot. Members' Office
 Staff/Team and non-members also welcome!\n\nSynopsis of Course:\n\nThe goa
l of a responsible clinician is to provide his or her patients with functi
onal\, long\nlasting\, and esthetically pleasing anterior and posterior re
 storations\, in the most\nconservative and bio-compatible fashion\; direct
composite restorations fulfills these ideal\nrequirements. Direct anterio
r and posterior composites can be technique sensitive\,\ndifficult\, time
consuming and often financially unrewarding procedures\; this may be due\n
in large part due to the incorrect use of new materials. Some of the new m
aterial require a\ncompletely new approach\, if we are going to be success
ful with them. Dr. Ruiz presents a\ncompletely new\, scientifically based\
, approach to tooth preparation and restoration of the\nmost widely perfor
med procedures in dentistry direct composites\, using supra-gingival\nprin
ciples.\n\nDr. Ruiz will review the latest knowledge in advance adhesion\,
techniques\, materials\, and\nwill review the principles necessary to per
 form exquisite\, predictable and simple\, direct\nanterior and posterior c
omposite restorations\, including rehabilitation with direct\ncomposite.\n
\nLearning objectives:\n\n Describe new preparation techniques which ma
ximize success and minimize\ncomplications\, using supra-gingival principl
es.\n Describe a predictable and simple technique for placing composite
\, with ideal\nmarginal seal\, managing the effects of polymerization shri
nkage.\n Identify the different composite resins and bonding systems by
category and\ndescribe when and how to use them.\n Identify the princi
ple of form\, texture\, color and the use of stains to perform\nbeautiful
composite restorations.\n Fully understand adhesives (bonding systems)
and how to be successful with\nthem..\n Describe the different matrix\,
wedge\, and ring system and when to use them.\n Identify the principle
of smile design necessary to perform beautiful composite\nveneers and muc
h more…\n\nAbout Dr. Ruiz….\n\nDr. Ruiz is Founder of the “Supra-gin
gival Minimally Invasive Dentistry” movement\, as well as the Los Angele
s Institute of Clinical Dentistry. Former Course Director of the “Univer
sity of Southern California’s Esthetic Dentistry Continuum”\, Associat
e Instructor at Dr. Gordon Christensen PCC in Utah\, &amp\; independent ev
