SUMMARY:CE / Dinner Meeting - Occlusion: Simple Diagnostics & Simple Techni
 ques
DESCRIPTION:Occlusion: Simple Diagnostics &amp\; Simple Techniques\n\nOcclu
sal education is often too complicated and too difficult to incorporate in
to the everyday practice routine. Many times\, occlusion is combined with
complex\, unpredictable disciplines such as TMJ or aggressive full-mouth r
econstruction. In this course\, the participant will be introduced to simp
le\, time-efficient diagnostics and treatment techniques that are easy to
incorporate into a dental practice without an investment in expensive new
equipment. Poor occlusion can trigger destructive forces\, heavy tooth wea
 r\, chronic sensitivity\, muscle pain\, grind/clench issues\, and failure
of our dental restorations. In this unique course\, the participant will l
earn:\n\n What is a healthy occlusion.\n Simple diagnostic techniques to
test the occlusion and identify damaging issues.\n Simple treatment tech
niques to correct problems and create a healthier occlusion.\n What to do
with parafunctional heavy grinders.\n How to incorporate occlusal treatm
ent into your office.\n\nLearn techniques that Dr Lynch\, a very mortal\,
conservative dentist\, used to successfully introduce occlusion into his d
ental practice. Multiple cases will be shown along with analysis of their
successful or failed outcomes.\n\nDr Lynch has been a faculty member at th
e Los Angeles Institute of Clinical Dentistry (Dr. Ruiz Seminars) for the
past 15 years. He teaches both Occlusion and Pre-Restorative Orthodontics
for the Institute which is in Studio City\, California.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nStev
en Lynch DDS \n\n\n\nDr Lynch has been in dentistry since 1982. After gra
duating from UCLA dental school\, he stayed an extra year as a hospital-ba
sed general practice resident. Locating next in Vacaville\, he had a conse
rvative\, blue-collar private practice for 35 years. From the beginning\,
Dr Lynch was interested in learning techniques which required less tooth r
eduction and produced less stress on the teeth and surrounding tissues. He
has been on the faculty of the Los Angeles Institute of Clinical Dentistr
y (Dr. Ruiz ‘minimally invasive’ dentistry seminars) for the past 15 y
ears. He teaches Occlusion and Orthodontics for the Institute.\n\nSteven L
ynch understands the challenges today’s dentists face: higher education
costs\, business ownership\, increasing corporate and insurance control. H
e is a very mortal dentist who faced all the challenges\, made plenty of m
istakes and had many of the same concerns as today’s young dentists.
