Synopsis of Course:

Every Dentist should be an expert in managing occlusion, we deal with it on everything we do! Good understanding and implementation of occlusal principles will result in increased predictability and confidence with every dental procedure. Occlusal management is fundamental to dentistry.

Additionally, “Occlusal disease” is responsible for most restorative failures and no less destructive and costly to the patient than decay or periodontal disease. Treating it could be a great benefit to our patients, as well as a hugely untapped profit center.

In this very practical course you will learn how to implement a methodic and incremental approach to diagnosis (OD), understanding the 7 signs and symptoms of occlusal disease, and how it impacts the longevity of your restorations. The Occlusal Disease Diagnosis System is a practical “system” to educate, diagnose and then treat occlusal disease, including equilibration using the “3 Golden Rules of Occlusion”. Provides a powerful system to educate and motivate patients to manage occlusal disease, leading to excellent treatment acceptance, and success.

Upon completion of the presentation the participant will know:

• Why it is so important to manage occlusal disease, if we want our patients to keep their teeth for a life time and our dentistry to last.
• How to implement occlusal diagnosis & treatment into a normal dental practice.
• The 7 signs & symptoms of occlusal disease.
• When to use a semi-adjustable articulator and why it has great importance.
• When to use a CR bite and practical techniques to take a CR bite.
• A simple, practical and minimally-invasive system for occlusal equilibration.
• How to educate patients about occlusal disease, for excellent treatment acceptance.
• How to make occlusal treatment a profit center for a highly ethical practice.
• And much more…
