 Course Summary\nThis presentation focuses on the basics of risk management
 . The Dentists Insurance Company (TDIC) has developed this course to show 
 dentists how they can minimize their risk and help them define their right
 s and responsibilities\, as a dentist\, as an employer and as a business o
 wner.  Dentists will be able to identify and minimize loss exposures whil
 e utilizing key risk management principles.\nCourse Objectives\nAdopt a p

 election\, informed consent\, and documentation\nIdentify situations that
  lead to EPL claims\nImplement protocols to protect your practice\n&nbsp\
 ;\nSpeakers \nTaiba Solaiman\, PHR\, RDA\n\n\nMs. Solaiman is a Senior Ri
 sk Management Analyst with TDIC.  She joined the organization in 2003 as 
 a service representative in the Resource Center for the California Dental 
 Association.  In 2007\, Ms. Solaiman moved to TDIC’s Risk Management de
 partment initially as a Risk Management Analyst\, later promoting into her
  current role as a Senior Analyst.  Ms. Solaiman’s career has exclusive
 ly focused upon the dental industry through her various roles as Registere
 d Dental Assistant\, Dental Assisting Instructor and Client Consultant for
  a privately held OSHA Review company.  She attained a certification in P
 rofessional Human Resources (PHR) in 2017 to further her knowledge and und
 erstanding of employment laws and regulations.  She shares her extensive 
 background and expertise by speaking nationally representing the company a
 t seminars\, dental conventions\, dental schools and participating dental 
 societies.  She is the managing writer for the quarterly risk management 
 publication\, Liability Lifeline newsletter and the monthly edition of 
 RM Matters. Ms. Solaiman leads the development and content creation on be
 half of the risk management department for seminars and multiple resource 
 offerings including informed consents/practice focused sample forms and re
 ference guides. She also advises dentists in the areas of professional and
  employment liability\, property and cyber risk management.  Taiba is com
 mitted to leading and developing strategic risk management services\, supp
 ort\, education and training for the dental profession.\nRon Goldman\, Esq
 .\nMr. Goldman graduated cum laude with his political science degree from 
 California State University\, Northridge\, in 1978. He attended California
  Western School of Law in San Diego\, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1981. 
 Mr. Goldman has been practicing law for 37 years with extensive trial expe
 rience defending physicians and dentists in malpractice cases\, employment
  matters\, licensing boards and business litigation. Given his extensive j
 ury trial experience\, Mr. Goldman was voted by his peers into the America
 n Board of Trial Advocates in 2005 and voted into the California Medical L
 egal Committee in 2015.  Mr. Goldman participates in a variety of profess
 ional lectures on an annual basis\, most recently providing a mock deposit
 ion presentation to the Emergency Room physicians at Alta Bates Hospital (
 Oakland\, CA). He is also presently an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the 
 Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and the University of California San 
 Francisco School of Dentistry.\n.\n\n&nbsp\;
