SUMMARY:POSTPONED DATE TBD - ENDO Workshop: Safety and Simplicity in Root C
 anal Instrumentation and Obturation
DESCRIPTION:Description:\n\nSAFETY AND SIMPLICITY IN ROOT CANAL INSTRUMENTA
TION AND OBTURATION:\nMYTHS\, METAL AND MOTION\nFULL DAY LECTURE AND HANDS
-ON SEMINAR\n\nJoin Dr. Fleury in this down to earth course with a real-wo
rld approach to endodontic treatment.\n\nAs a result of recent improvement
s in metallurgy\, enhanced designs\, and innovative rotary file motions\,
we now need to understand how these changes affect clinical instrumentatio
n.\n\nRoot canal obturation has been revolutionized in the area of cement/
sealer technology. These obturation improvements are allowing more efficie
nt obturation techniques at lower costs.\n\nCreate more efficient instrume
ntation and obturation techniques that are safe\, simple\, and predictable
. During this presentation\, Dr. Fleury will talk about these points with
specific emphasis on access\, irrigation\, instrumentation\, and obturatio
n.\n\nThis all day ‘must see’ event will also include a demonstration
that showcases a simple instrumentation and obturation system. After atten
ding this workshop\, you will have a full understanding of this system whi
ch will help improve the predictability of your cases while dramatically r
educing instrument separation.\n\nAll participants will have the opportuni
ty to validate these concepts during the workshop. Acrylic blocks will be
used for this exercise. If available\, participants are encouraged to brin
g sterile accessed and canal validated extracted teeth representative of t
he kind of cases they do clinically.\n\nSpeaker:\n\n\nDr. Alex Fleury rece
ived his Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology and Certificate in Endo
dontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He
received\nhis DDS Degree in 1984 from the University of São Paulo. Dr. Fl
eury served as Director of Predoctoral Endodontics for 6 years at both Nov
a Southeastern University School\nof Dental Medicine in Florida and Baylor
College of Dentistry. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at Baylo
r College of Dentistry\, working with Endodontic Residents.\nOf particular
pride is being named the recipient of the “Edward E. Osetek Award” fo
r best new Endodontic Educator of the year by the American Association of
Endodontists. In addition\, Dr. Fleury is honored to have been the recipie
nt of the “Richard F. Weiss Achievement Award presented by the Louis I.
Grossman Study Club (University of Pennsylvania). He also served on the Sc
ientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics\, and as well serves
as the Director of Educational Resources for Real World Endodontics.\n\nD
 r. Fleury is currently in the full-time private practice of Endodontics in
  Dallas\, Texas.\n\nSchedule:\n8:30am: Arrival\, refreshments\n\n9:00am: W
 orkshop begins\n\n12:30pm: Lunch\n\n3:30pm: Workshop ends\n\n*  Morning c
 offee\, tea\, pastries and lunch will be provided\nParticipants will:\n\n1
. Learn how file design\, metallurgy and motion influences instrumentation
safety and efficiency.\n\n2. Comprehend the advantages of bioceramic base
d obturation and clinical techniques for its implementation.\n\n3. Discove
r how instrumentation and obturation protocols can be combined as acompreh
ensive system to achieve both efficiency and predictability in most clinic
al situations.\n\n4. Be able to describe the proper protocol for safe and
effective instrumentation of a given canal and cone fit for obturation in
different scenarios.\n\n5. Describe the simple\, bonded obturation techniq
ue of the fitted gutta percha in the prepared canal.\n\n6. Be able to util
ize the advantage of Hydraulic Condensation to prepare a quick post space
in the canal\, when needed.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPLEASE BRING ANY ACCESSED\, EXTR
ACTED TEETH YOU MAY WANT TO WORK ON.\n\nSpace is limited. Register today!
