 : During the last 25 years\, there have been a major advancements in mater
 ial science\, research and techniques\, however\, many of these advancemen
 ts have not been implemented in the majority of dental practices. This cou
 rse will present advanced adhesion techniques and materials supported by i
 mportant key research that minimizes the removal of healthy tissue and max
 imizes bond strengths. These techniques can be done simply on a daily basi
 s and can solve virtually every problem with direct composite and indirect
  restorations.\n\nLearning Objectives: \n\n 	How to select the right ceram
 ic.\n 	Understanding the inherent difference in ceramics.\n 	Proper bondin

 EUs\n\nBio: Dr. Troy A. Schmedding graduated from the University of Puget 
 Sound before getting his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of the
  Pacific School of Dentistry in 1993. For 17 years\, Dr. Schmedding succes
 sfully maintained a solo dental practice in Seattle\, WA before relocating
  with his family to California to pursue his interest in educating a futur
 e generation of dentists. After 5 years as assistant professor in the Depa
 rtment of Reconstructive Dental Sciences and co-course director for Integr
 ated Pre-Clinical Technique at UOP Dentistry\, he realized he missed direc
 t patient interaction and purchased his current practice in Walnut Creek. 
 In addition to teaching\, Dr. Schmedding enjoys lecturing nationally and i
 nternationally to fellow colleagues on restorative and aesthetic dentistry
