Program Outcomes/Objectives:
What if we told you that the single biggest boon to your practice was already sitting on a shelf in your office? Artistic images on social media can be daunting, and make the whole craft seem untouchable. However, whether you’re looking to impress patients with before and after images, or take anterior shade tab photos for your lab, your digital camera is the key.
This course will give you the tools to take control behind the lens and immediately see the results: enhanced esthetics, higher quality restorations, less lab remakes, and thus more efficient chair-time. We will focus on the clinical application of photography, giving you clinical pearls to be incorporated into all practice types.
In this course, you will learn:
• The necessary equipment to take high-quality photos in the dental office
• Basic camera terminology and settings to simplify your workflow
• How to take a set of comprehensive intraoral/extraoral photos
• How to utilize photography to enhance your shade selection and laboratory communication
• How to utilize photography to increase patient treatment plan acceptance (including basic digital smile design)
• Marketing implementation of your photography made easy
Items to bring (optional):
• Your clinical camera if you have one
• Intraoral retractors (to be used on yourself) and extra sterilization bags for storage afterwards
